- Both players secretly pick a battle plan and reveal them at the same time.
- A force with Always Attacks may never choose Defend.
- A force with Always Defends may never choose Attack.
- A force with the Fortified Line or Mountain Defense option may never choose Attack.
- A force with the Fortified Line option receives additional Fortifications.
- Remember to take terrain into account for Mountain Defense.
